Do you have a great idea and want to see it turned into reality? Are you interested in learning what it takes to start your own business?

Starting this fall CEDC and the Columbus Area Chamber of Commerce will host the first ever Maverick Challenge - High School Business Planning Competition. This competition will be open to high school juniors and seniors located in Bartholomew County.

Students will have access to all of the tools needed to take their idea from a concept and develop it into a full business plan. They will then have the opportunity to pitch their plan to successful entrepreneurs and area leaders.

Students can work individually or on a team of up to three students (please note – teams can consist of students from different high schools within the county).

Top Prize will be $5,000
($4,500 to students and $500 to the high school club of their choice)
Second Prize will be $1,500

If you are a student and have thoughts or dreams of one day starting your own business, you need to participate in this competition.  If you are interested in participating in this competition, please contact your local high school representative or email us at afischvogt@cedcorp.com
