David M. Kirr, CFA and Terry B. Marbach, CFA founded the predecessor to the Kirr Marbach Partners Value Fund, Kirr, Marbach & Company, LLC (KM) on May 1, 1975. Mr. Kirr and Mr. Marbach previously worked together for the Irwin Management Company, which managed the investment portfolio of the J. Irwin Miller family, founder of Cummins Engine Company (now Cummins, Inc.).

KM has utilized a “value” approach to investing since inception and its sole line of business is asset management. KM manages separate accounts and is the investment adviser to the Kirr, Marbach Partners Value Fund, a registered investment company founded December 31, 1998.

KM is an independent, federally registered investment adviser, 100% owned and managed by its employee partners. Mark D. Foster, CFA joined KM in 1987 and has been Chief Investment Officer since 1997. Mickey Kim, CFA joined KM in 1986 and has been Chief Operating Officer since 1996. Darrell H. "Kip" Wright, CFA joined KM in 1995 and is a Senior Client Services Officer. David M. Kirr, CFA and Gregg T. Summerville, CFA both remain involved with the business, on a part-time basis.

The professionals of Kirr, Marbach & Company, LLC have a combined 125 years of investment experience, of which, 77 years has been spent working for the clients of the firm.
