CyberMetrix was incorporated in 1992 and began by developing mobile data acquisition systems using internally developed technology.  Over the years, CyberMetrix has added several more products and services, including software engineering services, high end engine and component test software support, and technical software engineering services designed for the medical field.  These offerings help customers create their products faster, enabling them to test and measure product performance.

Like for many other technology firms, 2001 brought with it not only a downturn in the economy, but a national trend to move information technology (IT) offshore.  According to Chief Operating Officer, Tamara Mocas, CyberMetrix was able to “weather the storm with the help of a group of dedicated employees and investors”.  With the exception of the recovery period from 2002-2003, CyberMetrix has had an annual growth rate of at least 20% for the last 4 years, averaging 28% growth each year.

Prior to the economic downturn in the economy, CyberMetrix was a three-time recipient of the Growth 100 (1997, 1998, 1999).  They also received the Small Business Award in 1995 from the Columbus Area Chamber of Commerce.

CyberMetrix has a wealth of in-house expertise.  Most of the employees have a MS or PhD and 87% of the staff has at least a bachelor’s degree.  In 1997 and 1998, CEO Christine Mullholand was nominated for Entrepreneur of the Year by Ernst & Young.  Also, in 2003, she was a NASA Glenn Garrett Morgan Commercialization Initiative Honoree.

Team member Stanislav Rumega is one of fifty-two National Instruments LabVIEW architects in the world and Bruce Thomason holds a patent with Navistar and Dave Ruthmansdorfer holds four patents with Cummins Inc.

CyberMetrix is positioned to continue its growth.  They will be releasing a new product this fall that will help their customers improve productivity and maximize return on investment of high-value test equipment and facilities.
