Chamber Endorses High School Renovation Project

The Columbus Area Chamber of Commerce is advocating for the support of the 3,600 students who are educated in our high schools everyday and for the future of our community by endorsing the Bartholomew Consolidated School Corporation’s plan for the High School Renovation Project.

Chambers Present Training Sessions to Ensure Success at Trade Shows

As part of the Tri-County Business to Business Expo, we are offering two free Tradeshow Workshops.  You do not have to be exhibiting in the Tri-County Expo to attend these workshops.  They apply to any trade show in which you would be marketing your business.  The workshops are limited to Chamber members.  All Chamber members are welcome to attend.  Attend the one that fits your schedule.  Participating in these trade show booth design strategies and marketing techniques will give you the most impact for your exhibiting investment.  The two workshops will cover the following topics:

The mission of the Women’s Conference is to challenge, motivate and “connect” women in order to enhance their professional lives.  The Columbus Area Chamber of Commerce is pleased to have provided this opportunity for area professional women for nine years, with our quality, local Conference.

Schoolhouse Sessions Offer Chance to Question and Comment

The Chamber of Commerce in cooperation with Bartholomew County Consolidated School Corporation will host town hall meetings so that the public has the opportunity to participate in a moderated discussion with John Quick and other school officials. 
Renovations Needed at Columbus High Schools

BCSC extends its appreciation to the Columbus Area Chamber of Commerce for endorsing the plan for High School Renovations.  The proposed renovations are important to our community and important to the retention and growth of businesses.  We must:

  • Improve the way we serve students,
  • Improve the existing facilities,
  • And do so in an affordable and responsible manner.

Planning Department releases Public Review Draft Zoning Ordinance to the Public

This week, the Planning Department began the process of releasing the Public Review Draft of the proposed Columbus & Bartholomew County Zoning Ordinance to the public.  The document is available for review and downloading from the Planning Department page of the City of Columbus website  at www.columbus.in.gov/planning-index.html.  Print copies are also available for review at the following locations:
