Dorel Juvenile Group may be better known to many long-time
Columbus residents as Cosco, but many don’t realize that
the world’s largest manufacturer of car seats is located
right here in the heart of Bartholomew County.
A subsidiary of Dorel Industries in Montreal, Dorel
Juvenile Group is headquartered in Columbus and offers
well-known brands such as Cosco, Safety 1st, Maxi-Cosi and
Quinny, as well as Eddie Bauer and Disney Baby licensed
products in car seats, strollers, high chairs, monitors,

In addition to the manufacturing facility, Dorel Juvenile
Group also has its own product testing facility which
includes two car seat sled test areas. The Design and
Development Center, Columbus’ sister office, is located in
Foxboro, Massachusetts, and houses product marketing and
development and sales.
